Our Utah course is approximately 8 hours in length.
Class time will vary depending on class size and discussion.
The majority of the class is in the class room.
Range time will also be part of the class.
You will need to bring to the class one of the following:
A current permit to purchase, or a permit to carry to show good character.
If you do not already have one you can obtain a permit to purchase from your local sheriff's office.
You will be required to do a safe handling exercise. Please bring a firearm you wish to qualify with along with 25 rounds of factory ammunition, no reloaded ammunition please.
38 for revolver and 9mm for pistol or larger. No .22 firearms please. You will be required to shoot 10 rounds on a silhouette target and demonstrate safe handling of a firearm.
If you do not have a firearm yet you can bring, contact us and we can make arrangements for you to use one of ours.
You will be required to have eye and ear protection for the range portion of the class.
If you don't have any, or forget yours, there will be items available for purchase at the time of the class.
Utah does not limit your carry permit to handguns; rather it has to be concealable. We on the other hand will not allow qualifications with any firearm other than a handgun. Firearms and ammo must remain locked in your vehicle during class time. You will be notified when you will need to retrieve them for the range portion of the class. Please do not bring your firearms or ammunition into the class room unless you have prior permission.
Most instructors will send you after the class to get your fingerprints taken, as well as a passport quality photo taken.
Our class is all inclusive.
Lunch will be provided
We will take your passport photo, copy your driver’s license, and complete your fingerprinting. Be sure to come prepared to have your picture taken.
Once you leave our class you will have everything you need completed and ready to mail. All you will have to do is include your payment of $65.25 and mail the addressed envelope to the Utah BCI at your convince.
Note: This is not an NRA course
